Overview

Bee Degree is a gamified learning platform for schools that combines game mechanics — games, levels, scenarios, and units — with class and content management. The core of the engagement was migrating the platform from ASP.NET to Laravel while preserving the existing SQL Server database and keeping the API compatible for connected clients.

Key Features

• Game-based learning: Games, levels, scenarios, and units.
• School & class management: Schools, classes, class users, and class reports.
• Content hierarchy: Degrees, units, lessons, and questions with media attachments.
• Assessment: Question and answer management with quiz attempts.
• Access control: Role-based permissions via Filament Shield.
• Admin tooling: Excel imports, nested resources, and trend/analytics reporting.
• Localization: Multi-language content support.

Tech Stack

Laravel 10, Filament 3 admin panel, Laravel Passport (OAuth2) with Sanctum, SQL Server (preserved from the legacy system), and Vite. Key packages include filament-shield, filament-excel-import, filament-nested-resources, laravel-trend, and Spatie Translatable.

My Role & Impact

I led the ASP.NET to Laravel migration, preserving the SQL Server schema and ensuring data integrity and API compatibility throughout the transition.
